Charla con Chocolate
Charla con Chocolate is the 6th year Spanish club where students are given the opportunity to practice speaking Spanish with their peers in a friendly and fun environment. It takes place every Wednesday after school. They gain a lot of confidence over the year in preparation for their oral exam. Speed dating, Jenga and Snakes and Ladders are often seen in the classroom. Of course, you can’t forget the chocolate!
5th year Spanish Club
5th year conversation club takes place at lunchtime on Tuesdays. Students bring their lunches and chat in an informal setting, playing word games in Spanish such as hangman, taboo and who am I? These games help to build confidence and vocabulary as students get involved in the games and want to communicate with each other. In the spring we also rehearse topics for a Spanish debating blitz run by the Association of Teachers of Spanish.
Junior Spanish Club
Junior Spanish Club is for 1st to 3rd year students who want to practice their Spanish. In this club, we do a revision of key grammar points and vocabulary. Each week, students play interactive games such as "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and "60 Seconds", which helps students to become more familiar and comfortable with speaking Spanish! And of course, students enjoy some 'galletas de chocolate'!
