Leaving Certificate

The two-year programme, throughout 5th and 6th Year, prepares the student for the Leaving Certificate exam. Students undertake the core subjects of English, Irish, Maths, P.E. and R.E., along with four other subjects chosen from the wide selection offered. Graduation ceremony takes place in May each year, as we wish our students every success in their exams and future.

Leaving Certificate Revision Lectures

This September our 6th year students returned to the college to embrace the final leg of their Benildus journey. In an effort to address the worries and anxieties around getting settled back into school life, the staff of St. Benildus arranged for a series of ‘Revision Lectures’ to help readdress the topics and chapters that were covered during the school closure at the end of 5th year. The lectures have taken place every Tuesday and Thursday of September and will continue to run on those days until the first week in November. A comprehensive timetable of subjects and topics was put together to benefit students and sign up sheets were placed on the 6th year noticeboard for students to put their name to the sessions that they wished to attend. Up to three sessions were scheduled for each subject and teachers listed a variety of topics for revision. So far, the attendance at the lectures is reflective of the hardworking attitude of this year’s student group. We thank the teachers and subject departments for taking the time to get the initiative up and running and we acknowledge the students for the focus and commitment they have shown to their studies by attending them!
