Class 2.8 History: 1916 Class Trip on Monday 25/04/2016

Budding second year History enthusiasts enjoyed a recent, ‘1916 Rebellion Walking Tour’ through the streets of our native city and the birthplace of our nation. History came alive as the class negotiated through the sights and sounds of significant historical locations as our tour guide enthralled us with his in depth knowledge of all the places we visited. The class also attended the much publicised, ‘G.P.O Witness History’ exhibition at the General Post Office. Both of these tours were highlighted on an R.T.E documentary that was aired on R.T.E One on Tuesday 26/04/2016. Class 2.8 even found time in their busy schedule to get a picture with Molly Malone and Mr.Tayto himself!
